The new Investors in People Standard was launched in November 2004. Designed to be more "businesslike", the revised Standard features 10 indicators instead of the usual 12, and has a greater emphasis on effective leadership and management of people, in addition to their development. It is available for organisations to work with immediately.

The "old" Standard is still available, but organisations must apply for assessment against it by no late than 31 December 2005, with a further 12 months to undertake the assessment.

Please contact the Guernsey Training Agency for a copy of the new Standard.

Facts and Figures

Since the Investors in People Standard was introduced in Guernsey in 2000, 27 organisations have been recognised as Investors in People. Some of those successful organisations are no longer based here in Guernsey, but those currently holding IiP status are listed under the "local organisations" section of this site.

These organisations span a cross section of sectors and include finance companies and the public sector, education, hospitality and light industry.
